Clint Degan's Golden Years brings together the greats of rock 'n' roll, country, pop, folk, jazz, and soul into a 60-minute showcase of what makes this music continue to endure in our hearts. Whether it's the lonesome musings of Hank Williams Sr., the bombast of Jerry Lee Lewis, the swing of Louis Armstrong, or the swelter of Sammy Davis Jr., there's something for everyone in this show to make their feet tap and their heart smile.
A true entertainer and dedicated communicator of song, Clint knew that the stage was his home after he attended his first ever live rock performance, a scrappy high school rendition of Bobby Darin's “Splish Splash”. Since then, his appreciation of the music that defines the 40's, 50's, 60's, and 70's has flourished. He brings to his material the experience of two and half decades spent on stage as a guitarist, pianist, singer, and band leader, along with the exuberance needed to get one and all participating, shouting out their requests and singing along to their heart's content.
For occasions which require an even more dynamic presence, Clint invites some friends along, bolstering the show with one of his talented female duet partners. And there is music for all occasions, be it the Winter holidays, Mother's or Father's Day, the coming of Spring, or even a resident's 97th birthday. So let your residents take flight into their Golden Years, carried by a familiar tune, sung with charm, a little gaiety, and a lot of soul.
